The contract under the name of POLRAD Weather Radar Modernization as a part of the Odra – Vistula Flood Management Project financed by the World Bank construction works are carried out on 7 of 10 meteorological towers included in the contract.
With the help of firefighters, the tightness test of the radar dome in Poznań was carried out, and then the radar was put into operation. The tower in Świdwin was put into operation after renovation as well. Construction works are underway right next to the A4 motorway near Mount Św. Anna. In Brzuchania, the existing old tower has been dismantled and the foundations for the new tower are being reinforced. Renovation works in Ramża are also beginning.
